Ivy loves being a Yoga teacher!  Naturally creative and spirited, she brings her entire self to her classes, and  is actively a teacher and student of Yoga.

Her education includes studying with Anodea Judith in Costa Rica and most currently with Shiva Rea at Kripalu, Manorama in NYC, and Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy with Dr. Marc Halpern at The Sivananda Retreat Center. She received her 500-hr Yoga Teaching Certification  from Starseed Yoga Center, with Jyoti Chrystal, in June of 2006.

Ivy has also studied and is inspired by other forms of spirituality, such as Shamanism and Paganism. She doesn't believe that a Yoga class is all about Asana. She teaches a flowing style yoga that incorporates chanting, pranayama, and mudras.

Ivy is attentive to nature’s cycles and patterns. She lives and teaches accordingly, incorporating Ayurvedic theories into her practice and lifestyle. She is also a visual artist, who believes that Art & Yoga are soul mates and that, either done together or separate, they have tremendous healing qualities. She combines them for double the bliss!

Ivy teaches weekly, ongoing classes as well as Art & Yoga workshops where you can experience the two together. She is also a Reiki practitioner and uses this form of healing in everything she does as well as provides private Reiki healing sessions.
