Ivy's Travels...

Welcome to my Travel Page! I have done quite a bit of traveling in the last few weeks and I wanted to share my experience with you all. I am not much of a journalist in the literal sense, but I do enjoy journalism is a photograhic sense.  I hope you enjoy!.....

The Sivananda Ashram
April 9th-April 21st

I went to the Sivananda Ashram to study Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy. It was an amazing experience. Living on an ashram is very different then life around here. It is a very clean, peaceful, supportive enviroment. You won't find anyone in a rush or in a bad mood. It is very inspiring!  I can only hope that my practice has become strong enough to be that peace and luv so that I can be that for my community.

New Orleans-Jazz Fest 2008
April 29th-May 5th

The other side of the tracks from the Ashram! My yoga practice was definitely challenged when I was in New Orleans. I went from Sattvic (peaceful, clean, pure, soft) to Rajastic (loud, busy, sensory overload). Both places were awesome, just different. So, I am home now to find my new place of balance. Everything and everyone is a teacher, my life as a whole is my yoga practice.
